Departure [Dec. 28th, 2005|10:12 pm]
[Tags|, , , , , ]

Well, here it is, kids -- my first other-fandom fanfic, laid bare for all the blessed world to see.  This is the first-ever short story of any sort I'd actually completed, and I was all warm and fuzzy and shiny-feelin' after it was done.  So.  As you may or may not know, I'm a big fan of the Star Trek: New Frontier series, by the incomparable Peter David.  This is a missing-scene fic from the missing years between Stone and Anvil and After the Fall.  It's Soleta's departure from Starfleet.  Thus, the clever title.  ;)

Title: Departure

Rating: PG-13

Word Count: ~7500

Summary: We learned the basics of Soleta's defection from Starfleet in After the Fall.  Here's my take on what we didn't see happen.

The Sky is Scheduled to Fall [Dec. 10th, 2005|08:24 pm]
[Tags|, , , , , , , , , , , , , , ]

This was written for the [info]remus_reads  ficathon, for my moste beloved [info]jadeddiva .  She requested: "Remus' thoughts on the eve of the Final Battle".  I loved the challenge and it was a delight to write.  Plus, everyone's getting some action.  That helps to take the sting out of the fact that the world's ending.  ;)

Title: The Sky is Scheduled to Fall

Word Count: ~3400

Rating: PG-13/R

Summary: It's the eve of the Final Battle.  What's up at good ol' Grimmauld Place?

Final Battle, Take Two [Dec. 10th, 2005|08:19 pm]
[Tags|, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ]

The less said about the methodology for writing this one, the better.  I will, however, give a grand total of one word, and I think that may make it entirely too clear: BEER.

Title: Final Battle, Take Two

Word Count: ~2100

Rating: R

Summary: What the final battle might look like...If I'm given charge of writing the seventh book, along with copious amounts of booze.

[Tags|, , , , , , , ]

My darling dearest Gun ( [info]gunderpants ) created the comm [info]too_old_toolame for the anti-R/T theorist in all of us.  I've thoroughly enjoyed my forays into crack!fic for the sake of giving a good kick in the pants to all those militants' whacked-out ideas.

Title: The Galleon

Word Count: >250

Summary: OMFG hes holding hands with her cuz there freinds n remus is still all gay n stuff

A Tale of Several Settings [Dec. 10th, 2005|08:06 pm]
[Tags|, , , , , , , , , , , ]

So...I wrote a post-Hospital-Wing fic.  I don't think any other fanfic writer's done that, have they?  *snerk*

This is the story of the battle's aftermath in the Astronomy Wing corridor, of the Hospital Wing and what transpired there after Harry left with McGonagall, and finally, of a confrontation and resolution in Room Three of the Hogs Head Inn.  Featuring I've-Had-It!Tonks and Loose-Cannon!Remus.  Whee.

Title: A Tale of Several Settings

Word Count: ~4500

Rating: PG-13/R

Summary: See above.

Merry Effing Christmas [Dec. 10th, 2005|08:05 pm]
[Tags|, , , , , , ]

This one-shot comes hard on the heels of my take on the Burrow-Christmas-Dinner-Turnips-Ahoy!fic, "Purkey and Tooding".  It's been retooled several times, and will likely get more attention in the future, but eh, it's getting there.  ;)

Title: Merry Effing Christmas

Word Count: ~1700

Rating: PG-13

Summary: Remus leaves the Burrow after Percy's glasses end up covered in turnips (and, incidentally, the blame's been covered as well).  He heads to Grimmauld Place and ends up in a confrontation that only serves to re-open wounds which never healed at all.

Purkey and Tooding [Dec. 10th, 2005|08:04 pm]
[Tags|, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ]

Eh.  This one needs work.  However, it's basically been hammered out, so here it is.  I'm not 100% thrilled with writing in first-person, so it may end up being re-done eventually.  /dubious endorsement

Title: Purkey and Tooding

Word Count: ~3600

Rating: PG

Summary: What went on in the Burrow kitchen while Harry and the Minister were on their pleasant garden stroll?...And who chucked those turnips at Percy's face, anyway?

All and Sundries [Dec. 10th, 2005|08:03 pm]
[Tags|, , , , , ]

It's the infamous toilet-paper fic.  Possibly the shortest fic I've written, and yet, it's a wild ride, filled with chills, thrills, spills, and an answer to an ages-old question... ;)

Title: All and Sundries

Word Count: ~700

Rating: PG-13

Summary: Of all the things Remus has to leave behind when he goes to infiltrate Greyback's camp, what does he miss the most?

Warding Away the Solitary Night [Dec. 10th, 2005|07:58 pm]
[Tags|, , , , , , , , ]

Ah, yes.  The obligatory tea-and-sympathy fic.

Title: Warding Away the Solitary Night

Word Count: ~2700

Rating: G/PG

Summary: When Harry and Dumbledore arrive at the Burrow, it's nearly one in the morning, but despite the late hour, Tonks is sitting in the kitchen with Molly, having a cup of tea (and a side of sympathy, apparently).  What were they discussing when the Headmaster and The Chosen One showed up at the door?

Anywhere But Here [Dec. 10th, 2005|07:47 pm]
[Tags|, , , , , , , ]

Well.  I'll own up to it.  It's kinda, well, like, uh, erm, smut.  Kind of.  I'd've written a bodice-ripper, but if I'm going to do fic in which someone gets on-screen action, it's going to have busted noses, bashed fingers, and the occasional argument.  As several members of my glorious flist and I have oft discussed, nobody ever has perfect sex all the time, and there definitely needs to be more scenes written in which people fall off the bed, or somebody comes knocking on the door at inopportune times (these and other plot bunnies may be showing up soon in a fanfic near you).  This was written for [info]wotcherwerewolf 's Monthly Challenge #3: "Remus and Tonks are on an Order mission, and get separated from the rest of the group."

Title: Anywhere But Here

Word Count: 8200+ (wow, where'd that come from?)

Rating: Hard R/Soft NC-17

Summary: See above, pretty much.
